Mr.Chandra Shekhar Ghosh Chairman & Managing Director

Mr. Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, Chairman & Managing Director, Bandhan is an M.Sc. in Statistics and has over 25 years of relevant industry experience. His grasp over the subject of microfinance and development is exemplary which has won him various accolades and recognition in the fraternity. A "Senior Ashoka Fellow", Mr. Ghosh has deliberated on the discipline of 'Microfinance' at various institutes noteworthy being Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIMC), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli (NITT), Training Institute of Central Bank of India, State Institute of Panchayat and Rural Development (SIPARD) at Tripura, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). He is also a Member of Examination & Syllabus Review Committee at Kalyani University, West Bengal. As a panelist he has been a successful ambassador of Microfinance at National and International forums and has also made presentations at various conferences held in UK, China, Brazil, Nepal, France, Brussels, Bali, Marseilles, US and the like.
Mr. Ghosh is also on the Governing Board of SA-DHAN – the primary association of Microfinance Institutions of India. He is also one of the Committee Members of the Core Team that Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has formed for its Partner MFIs to advice in the policy making process. He is on the board of READ India and also occupies an Advisory Board seat in other MFIs. Mr. Ghosh is also a member of ‘State Level Review & Co-ordination Committee on Credit Delivery Innovations’ constituted by NABARD.

Prof. Amitava Sanyal Director

Prof. Sanyal has 30 years experience as a Microfinance consultant with NABARD, CARE and various NGOs in West Bengal and abroad in the areas of training and enabling them for scientific promotion of Microfinance groups. This TTIS (Mumbai) alumnus, was previously the Vice Principal of Vidyasagar School of Social Work, Vidyasagar University.

Dr.Ajit Kumar Roy Director
He retired as a Senior Executive from NABARD after working at different senior levels in the Reserve Bank of India. Presently he plays a formidable role as a Development Consultant. He is a M.Com, CAIIB and Ph.D.
Mr.Yogesh Chand Nanda Director

After working for a short period as a Lecturer in the Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi and as Probationary Officer in the State Bank of India, he joined RBI as a junior officer. He was appointed as the Managing Director of NABARD and later served as the Chairman. After his superannuation, the Government of India appointed him as a full time member of The National Commission of Farmers.
He is presently working as Non - Executive Chairman of the Agriculture Finance Corporation. In addition, he is also associated with some institutions in the sectors of micro finance, rural development, and management education. He has worked as consultant to international organizations like the FAO, IFAD, UNOPS, an Gtz [Germany] and national level institutions like the NCAER, SRTT etc. The Planning commission had appointed him as Chairman of the Working Group for the formulation of the 11th plan for agriculture credit and the cooperatives. He completed his Post Graduation from the Delhi School of Economics, securing first division and the first rank in the University.

Mr.Vishwanath Prasad Singh Director

He has worked as the Chairman & CEO of IFCI, as Executive Director in IDBI, Chairman of Tourism Finance Corporation of India, IDBI Capital Market Services Ltd. and Assets Care Enterprise Ltd., Principal Trustee of IDBI Mutual Fund and Director of IDBI Bank, National Securities Depository Ltd., National Stock Exchange Ltd and LIC Hosing Finance Ltd. He was the Chairman of Governing Boards of Management Development Institute Gurgaon and Institute of Labour Development, Jaipur.
He was selected by Commonwealth Secretariat, London and posted in Tanzania for nearly 3 years as Executive Director (Operations) in Tanzania Development Finance Company Ltd. (TDFL). Was Director of Eurafrican Bank, a leasing finance company, a venture capital fund and hotel management company promoted by TDFL.He has also had international exposure with leading financial institutions, viz., World Bank, ADB, IFC (Washington), CDC London, DEG, KFW, Japan Development Bank and European Investment Bank. He was also associated with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd on consulting contract as Director, Global Financial Services till March, 2009.At present, he is an independent Director on the boards of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, GMR Industries Ltd. Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd.He has completed M.Com, CAIIB, Bachelor of Laws and also received specialized training in Corporate Restructuring and Investment Banking in India, USA and Japan.

Mr. Khazan Singh Singhwan Nominee Director, SIDBI
He epitomizes rich and varied experience and professional expertise of three decades in the arena of development banking. He is well experienced in credit dispensation, risk management, planning & budgeting and micro finance. He handles credit proposals & issues related to micro finance and large projects with same ease and professionalism. He is presently heading Eastern Zone of SIDBI comprising West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim and seven states of the North East.He has completed his B.A. and CAIIB-I.
